Huge thank you to Mike who has been a volunteer with Compassion Trust as a Financial Mentor for the last 15 months. He has supported so many of our clients and helped people to become more financial free.

As a team we have enjoyed working with you and thank you for the awesome experience you brought to our service, and we wish you the best as you continue working in the financial mentor sector.

Food Delivery Highlights

Thank you so much for your support.

Covid-19 Food Support

Take a look at the video below to see how we’ve been able to support struggling families and individuals during the Covid-19 lock down period.

Working Together

There’s a lot happening at our Beach Campus office in New Brighton. View the video below to see what goes on during the week at 111 Seaview Rd.

Covid-19 Response Recognition

We were pleased to receive this Covid-19 Response Recognition Award from the New Zealand Government last month. During 2020 and 2021 lock downs we partnered with Kairos Food Rescue to distribute food to those in need as an essential social service. You can see more about this in the videos on this page. In the last two years we have also had a contract with the Ministry of Social Development to deliver food parcels to families in the eastern suburbs, referred to us by Work and Income or other Social Services while isolating from Covid. Since 2022 we have delivered food to 310 families isolating from Covid. We are proud of the huge team effort that has gone into these projects.

Congratulations Heather and John

We were pleased to see Heather and John acknowledged at the Christchurch City Council Coastal Burwood Community Service Awards. They received an award for their commitment to our fortnightly community lunches which they have been running for the last 4 years. Over this last year their team has provided 1,640 healthy delicious cooked meals with dessert to people in our local community.
